In the “Scanner” and “RFID” variant, it has a fast, professional laser 2D barcode scanner from Zebra for normal and QR barcodes of purchases at the checkout or packages during customer delivery and in warehouses. Even scratched, wrinkled or dirty barcodes are no obstacle. The “RFID” variant also has an integrated UHF RFID reader, which performs bulk scanning up to a distance of 50 cm.
In the “Standard” variant, the Sunmi L2s also reads QR codes via the integrated, LED-lit 5 megapixel camera or the optionally available 13 megapixel camera, which are of course also ideal for documenting defective goods or transport damage. The Sunmi L2s supports Near Field Communication (NFC) for mobile payments via Google Pay or for user authentication.
Reliably connected
Connectivity is possible via WLAN or the mobile network with two SIM cards. Thus, users simply switch to the second network in difficult reception situations and continue working seamlessly. A Bluetooth port can be used to connect peripheral devices such as a mobile printer or a mobile EC card reader.
Works like an Android smartphone
The brilliant 5.5-inch HD display with capacitive multi-touch and a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels enables convenient operation via finger input. The Android 9.0 user interface makes the Sunmi L2s as intuitive to use as a standard Android smartphone.
With a weight of 230 g, the Sunmi L2s – although drop-resistant – is relatively light in the hand. The ergonomic design allows for comfortable handling throughout the day, including easy scanner operation with just one hand using conveniently placed side release buttons.
Perfect for harsh environments
With its IP65-rated drop-resistant housing, the Sunmi L2s is water and dust resistant and can withstand drops from heights up to 1.5 meters. Its temperature range of -20 to +55 degrees Celsius predestines the POS handheld for use in harsh environments, for example at outdoor sporting events or festivals, but also in refrigerated warehouses. In cooler outdoor temperatures, the sensitivity of the touch display can be adjusted for gloved operation. This way, users don’t get cold fingers.
More than one layer of juice
The very generously sized 5000 mAh lithium-ion battery can be replaced in the field and is very durable with 800 charging cycles. With a runtime of up to 16 hours, it lasts longer than a shift with only one charge even during high use. If a battery does need to be replaced during a run, a freshly charged battery comes from a quad charging station that Sunmi offers as an accessory.
Equipped with a Qualcomm quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor, the Sunmi L2s delivers a processing power of 1.8GHz. In terms of storage, up to 32GB ROM and up to 3GB RAM are available.
Availability and service for resellers
The Sunmi L2s is available now exclusively from Concept International. The recommended retail price starts at 290 Euro net. Upon request, Concept offers resellers – in cooperation with specialized technology partners – the delivery of the cash registers with individually assembled Android POS software. System integrators also benefit from the “Sunmi Cloud” management tool, which can be used to easily import software updates and new applications into the devices in operation. The management and maintenance of the POS systems can thus be easily implemented and ensure optimal customer support.
