With the Giada DN25, Munich-based value-added distributor Concept International offers a budget-friendly, energy-efficient, and versatile out-of-the-box Raspberry Pi-based solution for industrial applications. The ultra-compact Giada DN25 enables reliable, fanless 24/7 operation, for example for automation projects for monitoring and controlling machines and processes, as an IoT gateway for collecting sensor data, or for camera-controlled quality assurance. The industrial PC, which is based on the Compute Module CM4 or CM5, is now available from Concept International.

Giada, a proven manufacturer of cost-effective PCs suitable for 24/7 operation in digital signage for over 25 years, is launching the Giada DN25, a versatile, budget-friendly, and high-performance industrial PC based on the Raspberry Pi CM5 Lite module. Thanks to the low power consumption of Raspberry Pi and its fanless design, the Giada DN25 is particularly energy-efficient and low-maintenance. Its ultra-compact metal housing (116 x 106 x 30 mm) makes it an out-of-the-box solution that is also suitable for use in projects with space constraints. In addition, the Linux-based Raspberry Pi OS gives users access to a large and active open-source community of developers who offer extensive resources, tutorials, and support.

Wide range of industrial applications

The Giada DN25 is ideal for industrial automation, for example, to control production lines and monitor machines in order to maximize their efficiency and minimize downtime. For quality control, cameras can be connected and image processing algorithms used to visually inspect products on a production line for defects or deviations, ensuring that only flawless products leave the plant.

By connecting sensors, the Giada DN25 can also be used as an IoT gateway to collect and send sensor data to a central cloud platform for real-time temperature and humidity monitoring. It is also possible to monitor and optimize energy consumption in plants to achieve energy savings and reduce operating costs.

High-performance, energy-efficient, and durable

The Giada DN25’s built-in ComputeModule CM5 Lite features a high-performance quad-core Cortex-A76 processor with up to 2.4 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. It comes with 32 GB of storage, with an optional 64 GB upgrade. The Broadcom VideoCore 7, an integrated GPU with up to 800 MHz clock speed, ensures smooth 4K media playback. The Raspberry Pi OS is also particularly energy-efficient in operation.

The Giada DN25 offers flexibility in terms of connectivity with four USB and one R232 COM port for machine control and sensor connection, and two HDMI ports for 4K media playback. A LAN connection and integrated WLAN and Bluetooth ensure connectivity. The included power supply makes it easy to power the out-of-the-box Raspberry Pi solution. The sturdy aluminum housing can be mounted anywhere using an optionally available VESA adapter plate.

Designed for reliable, uninterrupted 24/7 operation, the fanless design ensures quiet, long-lasting operation and reduces maintenance and the risk of mechanical failure due to dust and dirt deposits. In addition, Giada offers long-term availability of at least eight years, enabling planning security.

Availability and Total Preparation Service

The Giada DN25 is now available from Concept International for €159 net. Concept offers special conditions for resellers and system integrators. The Munich-based VAD offers optional on-site service within 48 hours throughout Germany for all Giada devices. System integrators usually receive the proven Total Preparation Service free of charge, whereby the PC is configured individually and project-specifically, even for large quantities, for example with pre-installed software. The 3-year warranty with the option of extending to 5 years rounds off the service package.
