DT Research’s DT362 D-Series includes the DT362DN and DT362DH models, which differ mainly in their CPUs: the DN version works with an Intel N200 quad-core processor, while the DH variant houses an even more powerful Intel Core i3-N300 octa-core CPU. A real highlight: at 6 inches, the devices are significantly smaller than a tablet PC. The robust mini-tablets, with an IP65 protection rating and integrated WiFi and Bluetooth, also have an integrated chip card reader for user authentication and a hot-swappable battery that can be changed during operation. With the optionally available UHF reader, they can also be equipped with a pistol grip for an easier scanning process.
The DT362 D-Series is frequently used in logistics, warehousing or in the Industry 4.0 environment, where it is used for reliable mobile object recognition, but also for mobile access control to government and corporate buildings. The integrated RFID reader (optionally UHF) records the objects contactless from distances up to 10 m. A barcode scanner and a GNSS module can be additionally installed.
Another interesting application is the use of DT362DN/DH as a POS system: depending on the POS software, the MicroSD can be used for fiscalization or a master-client operation can be carried out in which the mobile devices only work as clients of an existing Windows POS system. The optionally available 5 MP front and 8 MP rear cameras can be used for QR code scanning of vouchers if necessary. Accessories include a handheld charging cradle with battery and a 4-slot handheld charger. Both handhelds can be used perfectly as mobile POS systems – a real benefit in the field of Windows POS systems.
The mini tablet runs on Microsoft Windows 11 IoTE.
