Robust, lightweight, reliable, 5G and GMS-capable: Concept International has an updated Android tablet in its range with the FuturePAD FPQ10-A 12

Munich, August 09, 2024 – On service missions in rough terrain, tablets need to be robust, lightweight, reliable, easy to handle and state-of-the-art. This also applies to use by the police, fire department and rescue services. Munich-based added value distributor Concept International now has the FuturePAD FPQ10-A12 in its range for these and other demanding outdoor purposes. The slim rugged tablet operates in the 5G mobile network, is GMS-capable and runs Android 12, ensuring update security for the coming years.

The tablet meets the US military standard MIL-STD 810G and is IP65 certified, meaning it can withstand shocks, vibrations, dust and water jets from any angle. It can easily cope with temperatures from minus 10 to plus 50 degrees and safely survives drops from a height of 1.2 meters. The powerful battery (10,000 mAh) works for up to 24 hours. It can be recharged quickly and easily thanks to the USB-C port and is usually back to 80 percent after 1.5 hours.
With a weight of 735 grams and a thickness of just 11.6 millimetres, the tablet fits securely in any outdoor rucksack or emergency vehicle – or even in agricultural vehicles, on large construction sites, in warehouses and wherever data and information needs to be used, recorded and processed quickly and efficiently outside protected office spaces.

Fast data exchange via various interfaces

Inside the tablet is a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB SSD. A variety of interfaces ensure flexible and fast data exchange: in addition to WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, LTE, GNSS/GPS, the new version also has 5G mobile radio with 2 internal antennas for easy sending and receiving (2×2 Mimo). And the FPQ10-A12 is also GMS-capable: Apps from Google mobile services can be downloaded and installed quickly and easily from the Playstore – without the more time-consuming detour via APK files. An NFC chip for reading smartcards, for example, is also built in.

Zebra scanner, cameras and anti-glare display – also for clinical use

A compact laser scanner from class leader Zebra, which also reads 2D barcodes and QR codes through foil or from curved and reflective originals, is integrated into the thin front edge. Stereo speakers and a microphone are also on board, as are a 5M pixel front camera and a 13M pixel back camera including LED light. The full HD display (1920 x 1200 mm) with a capacitive touchscreen and a brightness of 800 cd/m2 is made of tempered glass and has a special anti-glare coating for outdoor requirements: This makes the tablet easy to read and operate even in the sunshine. The FPQ10MD-A12 rugged tablet is also available in white for use in clinical settings. It can be easily cleaned with up to 80% alcohol and is ISO 60601-1-certified for the healthcare sector.
Accessories such as a wrist strap for fatigue-free, mobile working and docking/charging stations for uncomplicated integration into the office or in vehicles ensure flexibility.
