From March 10 to 12 in Nuremberg, Concept International will present ideas for the storage crisis with the latest Giada PCs and motherboards as well as innovative tablets from DT Research and FuturePAD.

AI expertise with high computing power, compact design, and a variety of industry-standard interfaces: this is what the latest Android generation of Giada PCs offers, which Concept International will be bringing to Nuremberg for “Embedded World” from March 10 to 12. “The advantage of Android plays a significant role in the current storage situation, which will continue to accompany us in the future, because only about one-third of SSD and RAM capacities are required here,” says Mike Finckh, Managing Director of Concept International. As the exclusive Giada distributor in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, Concept will also be presenting the latest modular motherboards with SMARC slots, which can be combined with various powerful ARM SoCs to create industry-ready solutions. A wide range of interfaces, perfect for industrial and edge AI applications, round off the offering. Other highlights at the booth in Hall 3/3-225 will include innovative rugged Windows tablets from DT Research in a compact 6-inch format and an extremely lightweight and handy rugged tablet from Concept’s own FuturePAD brand, as well as the new modular Android tablets from the Sunmi cPad series.

Giada D108: the AMD alternative to the hot-selling D613

One of the top models in the Giada portfolio is the D108, a compact, high-performance PC with powerful graphics and multi-display capabilities based on x86. With AMD Ryzen processors from the 7000 and 8000 series, the D108 offers a Passmark of around 24,000 (R5) to 30,000 (R7), providing computing power that is significantly higher than Intel-based Giada embedded PCs at the same price. In combination with the integrated AMD Radeon 780M or 760M graphics, the four HDMI 2.0 ports with EEID — i.e., the hard-coded output ID of the HDMI port, so that the assignment remains the same in the event of monitor servicing — the device is not only suitable for classic control or gateway tasks, but also for graphics-intensive HMIs across four screens. “This is a clear advantage for digital signage installations, control rooms, monitoring centers, or multi-monitor workstations in industrial environments,” says Mike Finckh, CEO of Concept International.

Giada AF708: Android industrial PC with strong fieldbus orientation

With the AF708, Giada is further expanding its Android-based product range. In addition to the weaker AR707 with the RK3588, the AF708 with the RK3576 as an ARM-based industrial PC offers a strong fieldbus and I/O orientation. Two 4-pin CAN 2.0 buses and four serial ports (2x RS232, 2x RS485) as well as eight digital GPIOs are available as standard. The integrated NPU, which provides up to 6 TOPS of AI performance, enables simple image recognition, for example for optical fault detection. This makes the device suitable for edge AI tasks such as condition monitoring or intelligent data evaluation directly on the machine and designed for direct integration into machine and plant infrastructure. The eight bidirectional GPIOs enable flexible connection of simple sensors, switches, or actuators without additional I/O modules.

Giada carrier boards with a selection of powerful x86 and ARM SoCs in SMARC format

Concept International has a range of Giada carrier boards in various sizes and with ARM or x86 CPUs in its exhibition portfolio – such as the IB5-210, which, with its combination of industrial-grade design and exceptionally wide range of interfaces, is clearly designed for embedded, industrial, and edge AI applications. With exceptionally broad display support including HDMI, DisplayPort, LVDS, and eDP, both classic industrial panels and high-resolution modern displays can be connected directly—a clear advantage for manufacturers of HMIs, medical devices, or digital display systems. These include three docking boards (in 3.5-inch or Mini-ITX format), which are permanently installed but still offer full flexibility in terms of ARM or x86 architecture and thus the operating system.

Giada IM1-707, IM1-993, and IM1-210: Smart SMARC modules for high-performance applications

With the Giada IM1-707 and IM1-993, Concept International is introducing two SMARC modules, i.e., standardized, energy-efficient modules for embedded and IoT systems for Android, based on the Rockchip RK3588 (IM1-707) and the NXP i.MX93, respectively. Both systems are based on powerful Cortex cores, with the NXP CPU being “Made in the USA.” But Windows modules are not neglected either: the IM1-210 is a PC module with the Intel X7433RE CPU, which runs quickly on any Windows app with its QuadCore 3.4 GHz. The modules remain powerful even in extreme temperature ranges from minus 40 to plus 85 degrees Celsius.

DT 362WN and DT 382WN: flexible and handy rugged tablets

For security reasons, larger companies with branch offices often rely exclusively on Windows for tasks such as scanning incoming goods or recording orders – which can be problematic when it comes to purchasing small handheld terminals and mini tablets. As a solution, Concept International presents robust and handy Windows rugged tablets from DT Research, including the DT 362WN (6-inch) and DT 382WN (8-inch) models. They are based on an Intel® N processor and feature high-resolution, very bright touchscreens with a remarkable 850 candelas per square meter on a 2K panel in palm-sized format. A key feature is their hot-swappable battery, which enables uninterrupted operation when used in the field, in warehouses, or in emergency services, even in harsh environments. The devices are certified to the necessary rugged protection classes (IP65, MIL-STD-810H/-461G) and, with optional components such as cameras, barcode scanners, RFID/NFC readers, GPS, and cellular connectivity, the tablets are particularly versatile for mobile data capture, inventory, asset tracking, or field service apps, for example.

FuturePAD FPE 10-W: Ultra-slim yet robust and powerful

Concept International is showcasing the new FPE10-W from its own FuturePAD brand at its booth as a particularly lightweight rugged Windows tablet. It weighs just under 800 grams, is 11.6 millimeters thin, and yet powerful with an Intel Alder Lake N200 processor, 16 GB RAM, and 128 GB storage. The FuturePAD FPE 10-W is IP66-rated for protection against dust and powerful water jets and is designed for a wide temperature range, enabling it to be used even in harsh environmental conditions. “With 600 candelas per square meter brightness, optional LTE, and an integrated 2D scanner, it is particularly suitable for mobile logistics, service, or field service applications where mobility, robustness, and flexible connectivity play a role,” says Mike Finckh, Managing Director of Concept International. The FPE10-W is also available in a version for medical use, such as in emergency services, with the appropriate certifications.

Sunmi cPad series: Universally applicable Android solutions

Concept International presents the new cPad series from Sunmi, the global market leader for smart Android terminals: stylish yet robust, universally applicable tablets in display sizes (8.7, 11, and 14 inches) that have been specially developed for professional use in retail, logistics, catering, and service solutions. They are IP54-certified, i.e., semi-rugged, and can be seamlessly integrated into most business workflows. The cPads run on Android 14 and, with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory, offer enough performance and capacity for typical enterprise applications such as POS software, order and customer management, mobile data capture, or digital kiosk systems, even outdoors. The Sunmi cPad series can be expanded in many ways with a wide range of accessories: For example, integrated 2D scanners are available as an option, enabling barcode-based workflows directly on the tablet, or LTE functions to ensure mobile connectivity without Wi-Fi. In addition, various docking stations support integration into stationary workstations or provide additional connections, which significantly increases flexibility in use.
